If there is anyone in this group or reading this who has had success in getting a CGM with Medicare and / or with a medicare supplemental plan, I would like to hear how you did it. I have a Medicare Advantage plan in MA and the answer I get from BC who administers the plan is NO. We had a speaker from the Medicare office in Boston come to a Diabetes Support Group at the Senior Center to talk about the Medicare Benefits for PWD. I asked her about getting a CGM. She said absloutely not that it was not covered by Medicare and they have scientists and physicians who tell them that it is still an experimental device and therefore is not covered by Medicare at this time.

That was 6 months ago and with all the new studies that have been done and reported to show that a CGM is beneficial to PWD I am wondering if they have changed there mind. I would appreciate any information that members and readers here might have. Thanks
