Heard Dr. Irl B. Hirsch speaking last night, he was one of the primary doctors and a Person With Diabetes, doing the "Continuous Glucose Monitoring and
Intensive Treatment of Type 1 Diabetes" study referenced at the top of this website, and sponsored by the JDRF. He said last month no insurance company in WA was covering CGM, now they all do because of that published study which "proves CGM is beneficial for adult Type 1 diabetics."
Great that you can download the study results from this website (CGM and Intensive Tx of DM1.pdf) w/o having to register at www.nejm.org to get it from their 10/02/2008 archive.
