CGM Anti-Denial Campaign Website

All you need to fight for CGM coverage.

HI,
I was wondering if anyone also had the pump with type 1 diabetes?
And is taking Humalog with the machine?
My AC1 test is about 8.3 I try to test as many times a day but my fingers cant take it anymore after 10 years!
Does anyone know if they have the option to take a Diabetec pill instead of the machine? I hate the pump!

With Type 1, insulin is really a necessity. I'm using Apidra in my pump. It's a little pricey.... but it seems to work a little better. It's in and out of your system pretty quick. It works more quickly to get the highs down. I used to test 10 times a day but test less now that I have my CGMS. I'm pricking my finger about 5 times a day now. At least 3 of them are calibrations for the CGMS. You may also want to consider Symlin with your insulin therapy. That helps many people out a lot with after meal highs.
