If secure gathering of information occurs by the providers, people would get care based on the medical history. The question follows that if this same information is unlawfully accessed by unintended persons, there could be untoward results. Imagine if a landlord, collection agent or even an insurance company would get in touch with this information, maybe an eviction, a bill or insurance coverage would be affected. There must be further research as to exactly how secure this system would be before most people would want to participate.
